Gymini: 1,460 bad swaps

The Gymini preview with one row swapped

Swap one move was the number one ask in the 8,186 reviews I read, so it went into Gymini first and it shipped with its own tests, all green. Then I tried it. Upper-body workout, swapped the second row, got a glute bridge. That's a lower-body move with a name that gives it away.

The tests checked that a swap changed one row and nothing else. Nobody checked that the new move did the same job as the old one. So we wrote that test: every row of every shipped workout, swapped eight times, and each replacement has to keep the movement type, the body region, the workout's focus, the posture and the equipment. Before the fix it found 1,460 swaps that left their lane. My exact case was wrong 28 times out of 31.

The fix is that one rule. After it, 330 of the 374 rows in the shipped workouts still have something to swap in. The other 44 say nothing else fits and keep their move, which is the honest answer. The lesson is the usual one: a green test tells you the code does what the test says, not what you meant.
