This one's a little embarrassing, but it's a good lesson. Gymini needs a figure for every movement, 173 of them, all the same grey clay look so the app feels like one thing. I priced the render and it came back at 72 dollars. I nearly said yes.
Then it hit me that a month ago, for a YouTube project, I'd written a script that batches image jobs on a cheaper model at half the price. Same look. I pointed it at the movement list and ran it. All 173 figures, three dollars and forty cents.
The lesson isn't be cheap. It's that the stuff you built last month is still sitting there, and it's worth a look before you pay for anything. The expensive mistake was the one I didn't make, because I'd already done the work once.
